Hi from Alaska. I have enjoyed perusing thru this site. We are interested in fostering or adopting a deaf child/children between age 8-16. Any links or info? thanks.
Wonderful page. I will be providing a link to it from my page.

I don't have any deaf links yet but will soon.
Thanks.
Retired, hearing woman who fell in love with the beauty of this visual language and want to learn more about it. Been surfing for anything interesting about sign language and found this page!
Thanks for giving everyone the opportunity to voice their variety of interests! I really enjoyed reading this page. Looking forward to more comments and info.

Enjoyed your web page. Plan on using it as a bookmark for students doing research on deaf culture for an ASL class being taught to 6th graders at a public school in Willits, California.
Found your website- I am very impressed about everything in Washington state for the Deaf- myself I am Deaf in New Jersey, and thinking of moving to new state with better services and things for the Deaf. I really liked your Website! SZS
I am a deaf recent college graduate from East Carolina University. I enjoyed your site. I am thinking of moving to Washington. I live in Minnesota right now and play hockey, but have not had a lot of contact with the deaf here because of my very hectic hockey and work schedule. I love getting email, so anyone can mail me here or at pese0002@maroon.tc.umn.edu.
Happy surfing!
I lost my hearing in three days, 17 years ago. Some hearing returned in one ear nothing in the other. I'm still not used to it. I try to read lips and use an aid. I'm waiting for the 'Telly' to die so I can get a new one with closed-captioning. This is a really good link and I have found others.
Thanks...........Pat
Hi out there in the U.S.A.!
We are parents of a hard of hearing child in Austria/Salzburg. We like to study the deaf-support in other countries so we find your web-site. We think, it's a good institution and we will visit you from time to time!
Our hard of hearing boy is 4 years old and we are sure he likes to see your kids-page! So, go on with that stuff!
So long and good buy from Austria, Klaus and Gabi
I like the look of your board, its nice but the old one was nice too. I am Deaf in one ear and have a partial hearing loss in the other. and have conversational difficulty in the only hearing ear. Between the vestibular dysfunction (dizziness) and the difficulty hearing people think Im rude and a drunk!

Great Web site! Been looking thru any DEAF issues...you might want to list some OT/PT info as well. (OT) Occupational Therapists and (PT) Physical Therapists work with deaf kids as well. My wife is an OT at Highline School District.
Keep up the good work!
WOW! This is great. I am a student at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. I am majoring in Deaf Education. I just stumbles on your website and think I've hit paydirt. I am doing my research paper in a Foundations class on families of the Deaf. Any information on the subject would be wonderful. I want to learn from parents, children, siblings, or any other friends or family.Deaf adults, CODA's, whatever. TEACH ME!! Thanks and hope to hear from someone soon. G Bice
Gerry, what a SUPER job you have done on DEAF WEB! how about starting an investment forum here? maybe somebody will be willing to share ideas? maybe you can help me to go broke faster? :-) Sunny
GERRY: I took your advice and got Internet Explorer and, besides, it was FREE (smile). Please do not use my Compuserve e-mail....no good anymore. Thanks!
Hi, Okay, it was there after I picked the right selection from their list. It is cool that that WSU lists your service! Go Cougs! I am off to a party see you later. Your brother and Cougar, Chris
I like Sunny's idea of an investment forum here...anybody else interested?
I am desperately searching for web sites that have some GOOD lesson plans prepared especially for deaf students. If anyone knows where I can find these, PLEASE contact me at the above e-mail address or at debbiep@mail.utexas.edu Thanks.
I am a college freshman at Pacific University and I am really interested in the deaf community. I live in Forest Grove Oregon but I have volunteered at the Washingtom State School for the Deaf. If anyone has any information on the deaf community in the area please let me know! Thanks! Stacey
Gerry, Compliments on an outstanding web - lots of great resources available to everyone. Have added to our book- marks and am sure my deaf 13 year old son Brendan will enjoy using it also.
PS Really miss Seattle...moved to Cincinatti 18 months ago after 7 years in Seattle.
Hi! I am a freshman in Deaf Education program. Am looking to find a school with Sign Language major. Any suggestions? :>Charlotte
I am desperately searching for info on the Deaf community and/or interpreter training programs in or around Boisie,ID. I live in Bellingham, WA now and will soon graduate from WWU. I was going to go to SCCC, but may end up moving to Boisie (long story). However, I really want to be an interpreter. Please, if anyone knows anything at all about Deafness in Boisie, get in touch with me. I assume there must be deaf people in Boisie, but they're not on the Web, so far as I can tell. (This site is great, by the way. Keep up the good work.)
Wow, I am at lost for words, the network is great along with all these interested deaf and non-deaf individuals. And, as for the rest of the USA, you are so right, Washington does have some of the best programs for the deaf and after meeting the one responsible for most of it (LC), I can see why we have so many resources and more on its way. And Gerry, I would really like to coordinate a NA/AA online group for those who are interested, any suggestions? Again what a page and I am so pleased to be a part of it.
My name is Dawn and I am hard of hearing. I would like to meet other deaf or hard of hearing people in other state. I can not find a lot of deaf or hard of hearing since I left Georgia. I am living in Apex,NC and I go to Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh,NC. School is have a good programs. I am majoring in Computer Progmming. I have a note taker and I sit in the front of class to hear the teachers talking. I do not use sign language, but I would like to learn because I like talk with deaf or hard of hearing people. I am shy because I'm used to use voice. When I was in Florida, the hearing impaired teachers did not let the hard of hearing to use sign language in the classroom. We had to use our voice in the classroom. Now I want to use sign language, but afraid to use my hands. This DeafWeb is pretty good. I hope I can meet other deaf or hard of hearing people in this web.
