Does anyone feel we should set up a small area here to have deaf singles/divorced people meet one another for potential relationships? I feel the deaf community is sorely lacking a resource to help the deaf community in that area.

I am, by the way, am a 32 yr old DWM working in Northern VA as a corporate financial analyst. I am also a homeowner seeking a potential relationship with another female that would love to be loved, respected, and cared. I like to play golf, read, cook, watch vcr movies, enjoy outdoors and indoors and many other activities too numerous to list here. But I love to be affectionate and loving to the special person in my life. If you happen to be interested in corresponding to me...please do or if you know of a nice gal who can use a special guy,,, pass this onto her. Hope to see you!

Trisha Stouffer trisha@esca.com Fri Feb 2 10:41:14 PST 1996

With the title DeafWeb Washington, I thought I was headed to DC and found myself on the west coast instead! Great to find so many web sites for the DEAF. I'm an educator dealing with issues of inclusion for deaf kids. It's such a complex issue that adminstrators just don't "get it." I'd love to hear from anyone with info/viewpoint.

I found Deaf Web WA thru www.eskimo,com/~jefffree...he has this site listed amongst a few other Tacoma area clubs. I recently graduated from SCCC interpreter training program, and have felt out of touch with things since June...this will be a great place to get updated info. Thanks for this site...I'm looking forward to visiting it often in the future!

Martin deafqueer@aol.com Sat Mar 2 18:47:26 PST 1996

This is great! One resource you might want to add to your list is the Deaf Queer Resource Center (http://www.deafqueer.org)..

Sue deKerguelen dekerguelens@csus.edu Fri Mar 8 11:32:36 PST 1996

This WEB site is great! I have been looking for something like this for a long time.

I'm hearing with a background in ASL, which I am currently improving by taking ASL classes at our local community college, which will eventually lead to interperting for the deaf in the near future.

I have been interested in communicating more with the deaf, hard-of-hearing and the hearing community involved in ASL and I would like to know if anyone would like to communicate through a "E-MAIL PAL" line of communication. If so, I would love to hear from you, so e-mail away.

Michael Wall wall@scff.chinalake.navy.mil Fri Mar 8 22:25:12 PST 1996

This is great! It is a good way to have old friends to find me.

I used to attend Hosford oral school in Portland, Oregon from early 1960's to 1973 when I moved to Tacoma. In 1973-1974, I went to Baker Junior High School in Tacoma which had mainstreamed programs for the deaf. Again, I moved to Port Orchard, Washington where graduated at South Kitsap High School. I was only one of two deaf students in a class of 400! I went to NTID and graduated in 1983. I used to work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard at Bremerton, Wa. I am now living in Ridgecrest, California.

Hi! I'm Andy Shin, a first year medical student here at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. I'm trying to institute an ASL course for the med students here for the better health care for the deaf and the hard of hearing. I'm excited to find this page in the WWW and am hoping for advice and direction in integrating deaf culture into the course. The class is in its second quarter so far and everyone is excited to learn more about the world of sign.
